I live and work in Atlanta with my family (wife and a son - 8month). Came to US from Uzbeksitan in 1999, graduated, have my BSBA in Finance and doing MBA; my wife is from Russia, graduated from GSU, has BSBA in Marketing and CIS; our son was born in Atlanta, so he is US citizen and we would like him to be able to communicate in our national languages primarily as american and others he will definitely be able to possess.
Lately my interest to my culture and language has been increasing, therefore I decided to search web for forums and find Kazakhs online and the most desirable option in Atlanta. I heard and saw couple of Kazakhs in "meshit-mosque", though I am still not sure if there are any Kazakhs nearby.
It would be great idea to create our own Kazakhs Union - Organization somewhere here in the South, if anyone already has been working on that idea let me know, I would like to participate, as I said I intend to enrich my own cultural roots through improving my Kazakh language and history, so that my son will be definitely able to communicate in my language and be proud of having Kazakh genes.
